Animitas is an horticultural experiment. It sows seeds and helps them grow. It provides care, but ultimately they lead the way.
In other words, it is a production company based in the UK.


Shaun Finneran (UK) is a physicist by training, and an engineer by trade, but mostly a filmmaker and enthusiast. Director of Animitas and producer of ‘Olivia’, the company’s first feature. His short film ‘Passing Place’ won the Grand Jury Grand Prix at the 25FPS Festival 2021.
Sofía Petersen (Argentina) obtained a master’s degree at the Elías Querejeta Zine Eskola. Her work has participated in several international film festivals, including her short film ‘Passing Place’ which won the Grand Jury Grand Prix at the 25FPS Festival 2021. ‘Olivia’, her first feature as director, is currently in post‑production.
