Shaun Finneran (UK, 1991) studied Physics at Durham University, and worked in miscellaneous jobs ranging from fruit picking to engineering, before becoming a producer and director of Animitas production company in 2021.
Sofía Petersen (Argentina, 1997) is a film director, writer and editor. She studied at the University of Cinema of Buenos Aires, and holds a masters degree in Filmmaking Studies at the Elías Querejeta Zine Eskola.
Their work has featured in several international film festivals, including their silent hand-developed short film ‘Alone Sleeps the Water, Frozen She Awakes’, and ‘Passing Place’ which won the Grand Jury Grand Prix at the 25FPS Festival 2021.
‘Olivia’, shot on 16mm Ektachrome, in the southernmost part of Argentina, with a crew of six people, a cast of over thirty nonactors and two actresses, is their first feature film.

Together they form Animitas.
